1972 Fiat 850 Spider
I traded a non-running Fiat X1/9 for this car, which was sort of an 850 jigsaw puzzle assembled from a bunch of different cars.  The 903cc engine pushed it along nicely, and the Minilite mags sure looked good.  I enjoyed the car for several months before it developed an electrical drain, the brakes went soft and the muffler exploded all in a week's time.  Sold it as-is for a tiny profit.
1967 Fiat Dino 2.0 Coupe #540
Purchased in running condition with those hideous stripes, this was my first and probably last exotic car indulgence.  Powered by a Ferrari Dino V6, the cost and difficulty of obtaining parts was overshadowed only by the rudeness of the people I encountered while trying to restore this car.  After about ten years of paying storage on it I finally decided I wasn't interested in restoring old cars as much as I was in racing them.  A very hard car to sell, I ended up swapping it for a 1965 Skylark convertible.
1960 Fiat-OSCA cabriolet
When this little gem fell into my lap I knew I couldn't keep it.  Purchased and sold within a few month for a tidy profit, it helped immensely in the purchase of our first home.  This car was shipped to Germany in the height of the collector car boom of the early 1990s.  Not fast, but a pleasant car to drive.  Like the Dino above, parts for the uniqe DOHC engine are hard to acquire.
1973 Fiat 124 CC sport coupe
The image on the left is the car in about 1983 when I owned it.  A nice original car in an unflattering color, it was purchased locally by me after being traded in at the local Plymouth dealer.  I drove the car for several years until rust took hold, then sold it to a friend who commuted to technical school in it.  It was subsequently sold twice more before the current owner purchased it and turned it into a street/track car as it appears in the photo on the right. Still owned by the restorer, it is unofficially for sale for a lot of money.

1967 Pontiac LeMans Hardtop, 326-2v, Powerglide
I co-owned this car with my friend Pat.  It was purchased with flat paint and no engine after being traded in at the local Ford dealer.  The salesman owned a Firebird of the same vintage and yanked the engine to use in his car.  Pat purchased the car as a parts donor for his GTO, but I convinced him it was too nice to scrap.  Needing only some minor rust repair, paint, top and engine, it turned into a beautiful money maker for both of us.  Pat did the work and I financed the parts and materials.  We installed the engine outdoors in the winter.  When it was finished I was truly dismayed I couldn't afford to keep it.
